The Remedy

To deal with the root problem of sin that brought death we must follow Biblical instructions and use spiritual weapons.

The Bible specifically identifies sin as disobedience of God's commands.
Sin is a deceitful destructive parasite within each man.

Sin must be overcome before man can harmonize with reality and with his Holy and All-powerful God.

To deal effectively with sin according to the Bible:
Step 1. Reject the Lie that Sin is External to Man

Instead of blaming society, our circumstances or our environment we must accept personal responsibility and acknowledge that sin is in us.

If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves,
and the truth is not in us. (1Jn 1:8).

Each Person is Born in Sin. Sin passes to each new generation.

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me. (Ps 51:5)
There is none righteous, not even one; (Rom 3:10)

Sin Emanates From our Heart
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries,
fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. (Mt. 15:19)

Step 2. Confess Our Sin

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1Jn 1:9).

Confess means agree with God —to no longer rationalize sin as some deficiency or mistake or to blame some external influence; but to call sin what God calls it —sin.

Every Sin Must be Punished
To be faithful to His thrice Holy righteousness God can never overlook sin —every sin must be punished.

Forgiveness
But God can forgive sin if we confess it.
To avoid the penalty for specific sins we need forgiveness.

To avoid the penalty for our inherited sin nature we need a Saviour who has paid our debt. Jesus died as our substitute.

We need healing —not therapy.
We need a Saviour —not a coach.
We need salvation —not evolution.
Guilt makes us less than we were designed to be.
There is one diagnosis —Sin and one remedy —the Savior.
