To guide and protect us, our worldview must account for the stark reality of destructive forces. If we are to wisely navigate through life, our worldview must include the source, the origin and the remedy for global, national, relational and personal problems.

The Christian Worldview

says problems in the physical realm are manifestations of a deeper root cause in the ruling supernatural realm.

Just as unseen, eternal, supernatural, spiritual Power (God) was the good that created us and our world, so too the evil power (Satan) that destroys is supernatural, unseen, and spiritual.

While love and compassion can give temporary relief from global, national and personal problems, the only lasting remedy is to resist, defend against, and attack that evil root cause. It is a war fought with spiritual weapons.

Our Root Problem In the Biblical Worldview all problems stem from the curse and consequence that befell a once-perfect creation through one original sin.

The Secular Worldview sees every problem as a physical, temporal deficiency. It is blind to deeper causes because it denies the supernatural realm. To remedy surface problems, it pours man's limited resources into bottomless pits.

The secular worldview sees evil in society. Subgroups identify various culprits hindering evolutionary progress: the wealthy, human beings, Europeans, private ownership of property, ignorance, sexual repression, religion, democracy, males, or some other element of society.

To remedy mankind's problems evolution must be advanced. Governments must legislate more rights to protect the poor, the animals, the earth, minorities, and others oppressed by these enemies.
Curiously, enemies in the secular worldview are often channels of good in the Biblical worldview.

Is sovereign God now saying, "Since you won't trust my words to explain your problems, but insist on trusting man's interpretations of evidence, then I must intensify the evidence that I am God; that I am here; that I am in control and that I hate evil and your participation in it?"

But problems are
now outpacing
human advancements
in every field.

For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. (Rom 8:22)

Death is the Biblical Term for the universal decay, destruction, disaster, disease and death that now permeate the physical realm. Human sorrow, pain, suffering and harm are foretastes of our own destruction and death.

Death Is an Intruder
When the Creator ended his special work and pronounced it all good there was no death, disease, decay, destruction. Man was highly intelligent, had everlasting life, a free will and finite powers to imitate his Creator. God's ways were to become our ways.

Man was Designed to Live Forever —our soul and spirit are eternal. Physical death separates the body from the soul and spirit. Resurrection will reunite them. Everyone will be resurrected—some to everlasting life and some to everlasting death. (called the second death)
