God Warns Us of His Wrath

It is popular but dangerous to emphasize God's love and downplay His holiness. Truth about God is balanced. God's righteousness cannot overlook sin. All sin must be punished.
A guilty conscience seeks relief. Those who do not find peace God's way (repentance and forgiveness) inevitably face His judgment. There are no other options.

 Stolen Warning Signs
What craft could vanish from sight the ominous signs of God’s coming wrath?
Once the compelling evidence for God’s past global wrath (fossils and rocks) is confiscated to underpin a secular worldview, no tangible proof remains to warn mankind that God's wrath will visit again.
When man rejects God’s words, meant to guide our interpretation of this mass of evidence of death, loving God sends more evidence. Worsening global calamities are now making it painfully clear that man cannot save himself or the earth —he can’t even keep pace.

God's Purpose for Wrath

God’s wrath doesn’t solve the sin problem —the cross does that. And it doesn’t satisfy judgment —that happens at the end of time. Meanwhile God’s wrath demonstrates His sovereign rule to those who choose to ignore His Words and demand evidence as proof of His power and participation.
Two major demonstrations of God's wrath are inescapable evidence —the past Flood and the coming Fire.
In wrath, God will blind all who have rejected His truth, and send them a delusion so unbelievers will trust a diabolical world ruler. This Anti-Christ will ultimately lead a war against Jesus Christ who returns to begin His earthly reign.
And then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. (2Th 2:8-10)

Past: Global Flood

God’s wrath is a crucial element in the Biblical worldview. When global or national sin exceeds the scope and depth that a patient but righteous God can allow, His wrath intervenes to limit sin. God reduced man’s life span 3 times for this reason.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. (Rom. 1:18)

Wise men fear God’s wrath and believe; fools alleviate their guilt and fear by discounting the past global calamity as a Biblical exaggeration. Worldwide fossil and rock evidence confirms the flood. If the Biblical flood was only local then God failed in His stated purpose —to destroy all air-breathing life and has often broken His rainbow promise —to never again judge the earth with water.
Noah’s Ark, often belittled as a children’s fairy tale, foreshadows the salvation of believers in Christ before the coming global fire.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. (2Pet 3:10)

Fossils should remind us that God’s wrath waits to again punish excessive sin. Jesus taught the actuality of both events and their many similarities.
For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. (Mat 24:37).

A 2000 year-old prophesy
Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts,[guilt rationalizes away the Judge] and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? [blindness from unbelief] For ever since the fathers [man’s forbears] fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation." [Uniformitarianism] For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God [sudden creation] the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water,[water above & below Gen 1:6,7] through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. The secular worldview cannot allow the recent global flood of the Bible. It would have destroyed the rock and fossil evidence twisted to support long ages of evolution and would have deposited its own.
Worldwide upheaval of rocks and fossils in all mountain tops scream of a global catastrophic flood in the past. To be preserved, fossils must be buried suddenly, at death and with water.
Evolutionists claim, "Fossils prove evolution." 100 years before radiometric dating, fossils were arranged to form the Geologic Column and arbitrarily assigned ages that assumed evolution was true. Now that chart is considered "proof" of evolution and the calendar for dating rocks and fossils. This is circular reasoning.

Coming Wrath by Fire

Once believers are "SAVED," body, soul and spirit, from God's coming wrath, fierce global tribulation will begin and last for 7 years.
For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall. (Mt 24:21)
More people will die from fire, war, disease, starvation, and major catastrophes on earth and in space than has ever occurred since the creation of the world. [Incidently, these words of Jesus show that He did not believe the Gap-theory of creation in which a catastrophe totally destroyed the original creation.]

Large portions of the Bible (Old Testament prophets, Revelation, etc.) prophesy the details of the horrible events of this tribulation and signs meant to warn of its imminent beginning. Unmistakable signs today, in the alignment of nations, wholesale lawlessness, violence, terrorism, drug use, and deceit should warn unbelievers to seek God while He may be found.

Today bears a remarkable similarity to the pre-flood world. Imagine the coming shock. Jesus warned:
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away. "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. "For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. "For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, they were marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so shall the coming of the Son of Man be. (Mt 24:35-39)
