Time Had a Beginning
"In the beginning" the Creator separated many things. The Creator reached out of His eternal domain and caused the physical domain to begin to exist by creating its basic elements: time, space and matter. Previously time, space and matter-energy did not exist. Physics tells us that all 3 elements began and will end together at some finite point. Time is not just a slice of eternity as the secular worldview demands. Both are very real but very separate domains.

Time Will End
Time is Finite.
Physicists tell us that time is finite and that space, matter, and time began simultaneously and will end together. A natural end can be estimated. It is referred to as the" great heat-death of the universe." Jesus said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away." Many Bible texts describe the termination of physical reality and all that will be left is the eternal, spiritual, supernatural domain of reality.
At the end, when His-story is complete, the physical realm —including its time dimension —will end. Every person will live in eternity. At one of several future resurrections every person is going to be restored and transferred into the eternal domain. There they will experience either eternal death or eternal life, depending on the choice they made in their brief temporal life!
In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
They will perish, but you remain; (Ps. 102:25,26)
that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day. (2 Pet 3:8).
| Peter here says one fact will guard against last-day deception. What fact? Just as Jesus used parables to convey truth to believers while confusing unbelievers, (See right panel) Peter here uses a now widely-misinterpreted riddle. A careless reading suggests that creation days are long ages, but the context defies such a twist. Only those who believe first will see that the issue is time and the measurement is God’s. The Ancient of Days measures time only in days and 1000’s of years, not billions. The evolutionary concoction of quasi-eternal time attributes our Creator's powers to time itself. |

Time is the pivotal argument in the creation - evolution debate. If creation took place in 6 earth rotations a few thousand years ago then all other arguments end.
