Be Saved by FAITH

The Biblical worldview offers the only remedy for sin. It is simple and strange it is a person Jesus Christ. Each one of us can admit his need for a Savior and trust Jesus Christ to be that one.
Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. (Mat 11:28-30)
How Can I Be Saved?
Individuals, one by one, must reverse Adam's sin he distrusted and disobeyed God we must now trust and obey Him.
By acknowledging my sinful helpless condition and receiving the pardon, purchased by my Savior's death, (all of this by faith) I instantly gain free salvation.
Each person can come to God through one humbling channel onlysalvation is by faith alone in Christ alone.
We must repent of our sin(self-righteousness etc.) and trust the Redeemer's work He paid for our sin with His death.
We must totally reject any notion that we can save ourselves by self-improvement or by any other work.
Our need is salvation, not evolution or even renovation.
Unbelief
We dont have to believe the secular worldview to displease God. All we have to do is not believe Him.
Without faith it is impossible to please Him, (Heb 11:6).
By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible. (Heb 11:3).
Those who trust their Creator are but a short step from their Savior they are the same. This sequence is in Johns gospel and the apostles preaching to unbelievers.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. (Jn 1:1-3) Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (Jn 1:29) |
By Self-Improvement?
The magnetism of the secular worldview is the logic of good works. It seems so reasonable and right those who do the most good work should receive ultimate good.
There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. (Pr 16:25)
But when we need rescuing, admitting we cant save ourself and calling for help is very logical. The self-saving, self-serving secular worldview opposes the Bibles principle of self-denial.
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy. (Tit 3:5)
