Good News: Our Sin Debt Has Been Paid!

The Cross
The cross is the climax of the Biblical worldview. Sinful man must somehow be reconciled to a Holy God justly. To reduce the penalty of death would violate God’s holiness. A sinless sacrifice must die—guilt disqualifies every man.

Jesus Christ, God’s sinless Son, became our human relative, born physically of a virgin, without sin passed from a human father. Then His physical death and suffering could pay our debt.
The Bible’s emphasis on the blood of Christ reminds us that His death was a physical reality accompanied by horrible suffering that could be ours.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. (Jn 3:16)

The Gift
In love, God gave to every man what no man can attain himself.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom 6:23)

The Resurrection
The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the crowning proof of the Biblical worldview. If the resurrection did not take place then this worldview is a false religion. If it did take place, then Christ is God and His Word is absolute truth.

Jesus’ resurrection, one of the best-proved events in human history, broadcasts the greatest news ever, that His death satisfied God and overcame our enemy: death. Eternal life again!

In Christ, believers are indestructible. Sinners who believe will rise again reconciled to God.
He has "begotten us again unto a living hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead" (1Pet 1:3).

"Now is Christ risen from the dead . . . even so in Christ shall all be made alive" (1Cor.15:20,22).It’s A Choice

Love
The Cross is the ultimate demonstration of love —the primary principle in the Biblical worldview. Love is the driving force for all of life. God is Love. The Cross reveals God’s way to gain victory over an enemy. The way up is down. Humble obedience to God is the winning attitude. We deny our own ability and embrace God’s infinite ability. He works where we can’t.
Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. (Jn 15:13)
The secular worldview exalts self, encourages rebellion —the wrong kind of independence, and denies the power of love.
Secular Enigma
Although love is obviously necessary in the nurture of life, the secular worldview has no place for love. Its principle for survival conflicts —the fittest survive: look out for number 1.
The love principle —placing the needs of others ahead of our own —has not only survived, it flourishes. Care of others is essential to surviving societies in all life forms.
Competing brute fitness is not the ruling force that the secular worldview claims. In fact, it’s not even among the leading factors in survival. Logic tells us that at every level the fittest, in turn, would be eliminated by something fitter and ultimately would leave one lonely survivor. This is not a way of life and survival but of death and extinction.

The Gospel

• Is the most important message in the Biblical Worldview;
• Is the message God wants every person on earth to hear;
• Is the person-to-person truth from your Creator/Designer/Savior;
• Tells How to go to heaven and have eternal life;
• Tells How to be "Saved" —to be "Born Again;"
• Tells How to be Restored to abundant life here and now;
• Tells How to tap life's real source of power and purpose;
• Tells how to defeat our personal problems and those in society

• It identifies our root problem —sin.
• From sin's origin we know its cause consequence and cure.
• It tells us that our only solution is salvation not evolution
• Our hope is in a Savior not ourselves.
