What Is God Doing?
God is Building His Kingdom
"Thy kingdom come!" The eternal loving God desires to have "friends" living with him in eternity. He created angels but these "messengers"were not made in God's image and provide little genuine fellowship for God. So He planned and designed a way to create friends like Himself (not zombies) that could choose to love Him.
It would be necessary to test them briefly to find which creatures would love and obey Him and His ways. That is why He created this physical material domain that will soon end. It was a dangerous risk. If all His creatures failed the test He would have none for Himself. We came close to that failure when God "repented that He had made man" just before He destroyed all but 8 persons in a worldwide flood.
A completely righteous and Holy God has to do everything righteously and justly.

| He made man from Dust |
We, who are prone to overestimate our value, were made from totally worthless dust that has no water for adhesion or any other value. By that material we can understand that we have no inherent value in ourselves. Only God's work on us, in us and through us gives us worth. |
| He made woman from man |
God created marriage —it is not a man-made institution. He made man in His own image and then took part of man to form woman and thus He defined marriage as a completeness. Marriage is an image of Christ and His body of believers —those becoming one with God. Eternal life is not an alien new existence for man as evolution would have us believe. The Bible is full of "re-" words because believers will be going back to what we once were in Eden. |
| He made everything in 6 days |
The all-powerful, all-wise Creator could have created everything in six microseconds but instead He chose to take 6 earth-rotations. Although we don't have God's infinite powers we do have finite versions of His nature and powers so we can imitate His ways. God did many things during creation to reinforce this. The 3rd commandment, carved in stone by God himself, (no room for re-interpretation here) established that the Creator worked for a period of 6 Israelite working days and then STOPPED. | He made the earth First |
Time is the first entity addressed in Scripture (In the beginning...) and the first thing created. In God's first act of creation He made time, space and matter. His clock —the rotating earth —was "hung on nothing." This trustworthy timepiece, that will also "pass away" when time is no more. With it, eternal God communicates with time-locked man that...
