What is at Stake?

Just the Integrity of Science?
When the secular (godless) worldview denies the supernatural out-of-hand, it limits the search for the origin of physical reality to groping through stones, bones and rubble. This artificially restricted and futile search exalts science. But science is not the only tool for seeking truth. What drives the quest for origins is not What is the most clever science? but What is the meaning of life? Shiney tools have distracted the best minds from the real search.

Just my Religious Compartment?
The all-too-common 'compartmentalization' of lives into secular and religious, separate Sunday beliefs from Monday to Friday 'reality.' "Religion is theoretical; life is practical." This fragmentation allows us to hold contradicting answers to life-guiding and motivating questions.

Beginnings Answer Big Questions
How we answer the question, Where did I come from? profoundly shapes how we think and live! Whether we answer from sacred or science texts, this question is very personal, very guiding and very religious. Beginning events and processes reveal our Creator, our nature, our meaning, our purpose, our success and our future. What we choose to believe about our origin will, in time, influence the other major beliefs that must coexist in our mind.

The Deeper Meaning Test
Before we trust the direction of our lives to the secular guru with the most clever-sounding science, we should test the deeper life-meanings that his view offers. "Willingly ignorant" of the supernatural, secularists are compelled to swallow the despair and aimlessness dictated by their so-called 'science.'

Worldviews All Require a Supportive Account of Beginnings.
Origins are the defining events in every worldview.
Origins define time, life, death, man, sin, and every other major element in a worldview.
Every worldview's record of origins reveals and honors its particular god.
Biblical creation reveals and honors the unseen God of the Bible.
Evolution is the story of origins required by Secularism —where god is mush.

Beginnings are Roots
The Creator told us What He did and How He did it —His awesome ways reveal His nature, His power and His purposes. They tell His creatures how best to preserve and perpetual what He began.

Creation was the Time of Definition of All Things

Every entity looks to its beginning for its meaning. Origins are defining events for nations, institutions, businesses and even words in a language. Origins are critical events. The Biblical account of creation defines all realities that act in the rest of the Bible. Life, death, sin, man, woman, marriage and all other realities are defined by the way they came to exist. For example, Genesis defines death as the consequence of sin, not a force creating new life kinds through extinctions. The definition of death, established at its origin, is critical to our Gospel, our theology, God's wrath, our future hope and every other major Bible doctrine.

If we distort the Genesis record, we redefine our Creator,
His Design and the entire message of the Bible.

Creation is Vital History

Theologian Charles Hodge, called creation, "the context for rest of Scripture." The first 10 chapters of Genesis form the roots for all Bible doctrine. From these formative historical events come the elements of our theology, our morals, our values, our life principles, and our Gospel.

All major Bible doctrines are rooted in biblical creation. We who walk by faith must defend this root doctrine because so much in Scripture rests on this context. This divine revelation was not given to merely fuel academic pursuit or stimulate debate. Every divine revelation meets specific human needs —especially the root truth of creation.

Bible History is Not Negotiable
The Bible contains Historical Events and Spiritual Principles

The Bible is an historical record of physical events carrying spiritual meanings. Bible doctrines are framed on the HOWS of physical events. HOW Jesus physically was born, died, and rose again is vital earth history teaching heavenly principles of redemption and salvation.
Jesus said:

"If I told you earthly things and you do not believe,
how shall you believe if I tell you heavenly things?" (Jn 3:12).

We must believe Bible history before we can understand spiritual principles.

If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that
God raised Him from the dead, [Historical Event] you shall be saved; (Rom. 10:9)
.

If we can't see the historical HOWS of creation,
we should check our eyesight.
Biblical omissions are usually reader blindness.

Creation is Vital Doctrine

Does It Really Matter HOW we Believe the Creator Worked?
NO! It doesn't matter HOW.... if your Creator-image, your self-image, your worldview, your salvation and all the major questions of life don't matter. The creation conflict is not a trivial debate man's cleverest science; it is a war for your mind. Our faith needs the truth that has been suspended by this controversy. It is the root doctrine of the Bible that contains essential definitions for successful living.

AND
NO! It doesn't matter HOW.... Unless God has said How, then we better believe Him because unbelief is a dangerous slope. Unbelief is optional for only a short time, then unbelief will master us. What we won't believe, we soon find we can't believe. When the Creator visited earth He
(Jesus) explained that He spoke in parables partly to harden those who refuse to believe first. He will deliberately remove truth from unbelievers.

If any so-called "interpretation" or mutilation of the Biblical creation texts (found in nearly every book of the Bible) modifies an historical event or divine definition, then it must be rejected, regardless of how cleverly it appears to 'prove' evolution.

We don't have to believe evolution to displease God; all we have to do is not believe Him.

Without faith it is impossible to please God. (Heb. 11:6)

Creation is a Vital Test of Our Faith

The Biblical record of creation tests our submission to Biblical authority like no other. Could that be why the primary lesson on temptation is embedded in the creation narrative? (Gen. 3:1-7) Scripture is the Creator's guidebook for those who interpret evidence of past history. Today evidence is freely interpreted in defiance of this divine authority. As this temptation intensifies, so does the reward for trusting God's words. Vital life-directing truths reward those who can get past the crippling squabble from pseudo-science.

Evolution is a man-made structure standing in defiance of the Creator's own words. Its powerful propaganda causes some believers to doubt God's words and to stop walking by faith. Faith in God is the Christian lifeline. By faith we are born again and by faith we grow and walk. God's words record earthly events without error and with authority higher than any man-made knowledge. God's words are sufficient for complete faith, especially the details embedded in the creation record.

There are two things God cannot do: He cannot lie (Titus 1:2) and He cannot cheat. (Cannot deny Himself 2Tim.3:13) He cannot bear a false witness (in words or in evidence) of past events that only He knows how they happened. He cannot confuse or mislead His most naive believer. Neither can He act in any way inconsistent with His character —not now or at anytime in the past. We can discern HOW He created by trusting His plain words and knowing His nature.
